About this product
Every online shopper has money sitting in their inbox. There's the return window that closes next Tuesday, the refund a retailer promised three weeks ago that never arrived, the free trial about to convert into an annual charge, and the warranty that still covers the broken headphones. The emails are all there, buried under newsletters and receipts, and most people only find them after it's too late.
Recoupo is a post-purchase action engine. It connects to a user's mailbox, uses AI plus rules to find the emails linked to genuine purchases, and turns them into a clear action queue: what's at stake, how urgent it is, why, and a genuine merchant link to act on. Users can then record what they actually saved or recovered.
The listing covers the complete software asset: the web application, admin console, mobile app codebase, background sync worker, documentation, the Recoupo brand and the recoupo.co domain.
What Recoupo finds
- Return windows. Which purchases can still be returned, and which deadlines are close.
- Missing refunds. Refunds that were promised but haven't arrived.
- Renewals and free trials. Auto-renewals and trial conversions, caught before the next charge.
- Warranty rights. Coverage stays visible when something goes wrong.
- Claims and disputes. Unresolved purchase issues don't disappear into the inbox.
- Cancellations and paid bookings. Other moments where money can be recovered or an avoidable charge prevented.
- Recovered value. A running record of money actually saved or recovered.
How it works
- Connect or import. The user connects a mailbox securely through OAuth or imports purchase emails, then chooses how far back to scan.
- Detect what matters. An AI relevance engine plus rules decide whether each email is really tied to a purchase or a post-purchase opportunity. Newsletters and noise are excluded.
- Take action. Relevant emails become purchases and action items, for example "Return window closes soon → Start return", "Subscription renews next week → Review plan" or "Refund overdue → Check refund". Each shows the amount at stake and its urgency.
- Stay current. After the first scan, incremental sync checks for new mailbox activity instead of reprocessing the whole inbox.
Mailbox providers
A provider architecture lets the operator add, disable, reorder or hide mailbox providers from the admin console without redesigning the user experience:
- Google / Gmail and Google Workspace (OAuth, configured and tested)
- Microsoft 365 / Outlook (OAuth, needs credentials set up)
- Yahoo Mail (OAuth, needs credentials set up)
- Apple iCloud Mail (IMAP with an app-specific password)
- Generic IMAP for compatible providers
- Manual import of
.emlfiles or ZIP archives
User app
- Action queue with potential value, urgency flags and one-click merchant actions
- Purchases list built automatically from email
- Source-email viewer for full context
- Mailbox connections and activity log
- AI / BYOK: users can use operator-provided AI or bring their own API key (stored encrypted at rest)
- React Native / Expo mobile app codebase with JWT authentication
Company admin console
- Overview and user management
- Sync Health monitoring for mailbox integrations
- Mailbox provider configuration; credentials are kept server-side and never shown to users
- Feature flags
- Landing-page content management
- Client app settings
Privacy and security
- Private workspaces, with user records isolated server-side
- Minimal purchase-data retention
- Encrypted BYOK AI keys
- Genuine action URLs: merchant links are taken from the email and never invented by AI
- Server-side authorization
Business model and growth
Recoupo was designed for a freemium subscription. A free tier could offer limited scanning, with a paid plan for continuous monitoring, multiple mailboxes, longer scan history, advanced alerts, more AI processing and premium recovery tracking. Growth paths for a buyer with consumer distribution include:
- Mobile push notifications and a browser extension
- Retailer and merchant integrations
- Partnerships for subscription management, warranties and claims
- Cashback, rewards or personal-finance app integrations
- Family or household plans, and international expansion
It is a natural fit for companies in consumer fintech, personal finance, subscription management, cashback and rewards, ecommerce, email productivity or consumer SaaS.

Good to know
- Pre-revenue MVP. There are no paying customers or historical revenue yet. You are buying a working product, codebase, brand and domain, not an income stream.
- Google OAuth verification. Consumer apps that read Gmail need Google's OAuth app verification (restricted scopes) before a public launch, and that is the operator's responsibility.
- Some providers are not yet configured. Outlook and Yahoo are built but need the operator's own OAuth credentials.
- Running costs. Hosting, the database and AI API usage are billed by the providers.
