So you want to launch the next Whatnot. Here’s what we actually ship.

Every week, half a dozen founders email us asking the same question: “Can we get a Whatnot clone that works out of the box?” The honest answer is yes — and it’s what our team at Sell My Code has been building for the last two years. Our white label eCommerce marketplace is the full live-shopping stack that live-auction businesses, collectibles resellers, and creator-led commerce brands use to launch in weeks, not years.

Think of it as Whatnot, but your logo, your rules, your cut of every dollar. Native iOS and Android apps. Live streams with real-time bidding. Sellers, buyers, shipping, payouts, moderation — it’s all there. You rebrand it, we deploy it, and you open for business without burning $250k on a custom build that still won’t work on launch day.

Who’s Actually Buying This From Us

Let me save you the “this is for everyone” pitch. It isn’t. In the last year these are the folks who’ve bought our white label eCommerce marketplace and done well with it:

  • Collectibles resellers moving Pokémon, sports cards, comics, sneakers, vinyl, toys, and watches — the exact niches Whatnot dominates in the US, now looking for a regional version in the UK, EU, Gulf, India, Southeast Asia, and LATAM.
  • Livestream-commerce founders who saw Taobao Live and TikTok Shop explode in Asia and want to bring that motion to their home market before Meta and Amazon do.
  • Creator-led brands — an influencer with a loyal audience who wants to sell direct via live auction instead of dropshipping through some affiliate funnel.
  • Fashion & thrift resellers running live sales on Instagram Live and losing 30% of orders to DM chaos. They want a real platform with a cart, checkout, and auto-invoicing.
  • Art, antique, and auction houses who already do in-person auctions and now need a digital live-bidding channel.
  • White-label agencies delivering branded live-shopping apps to retail chains, publishers, and D2C brands without a 12-month engineering project.
  • Regional e-commerce operators in markets where Amazon and eBay aren’t a natural fit — South Asia, MENA, Africa, LATAM, CIS — building something built for how their sellers actually sell.

How You Make Money With the Whatnot Clone — 9 Revenue Streams, Wired Up Already

Look, a clone app that doesn’t print money on day one is just a shiny demo. We got tired of shipping those. Every feature below is already plumbed into the admin panel. You set the rates, flip them on, and the platform bills, collects, and pays out. No plugins. No extra engineering.

  1. Seller commission per sale. The big one. You take a % of every auction close and every buy-now transaction. Global or per-category rates, Whatnot’s 8% is a fine starting point, adjust as you go.
  2. Buyer payment-processing fee. A small add-on at checkout (Whatnot charges 2.9% + fixed). Configurable per region because processing costs aren’t the same in Mumbai and Miami.
  3. Livestream boost & featured placement. Sellers pay to get their upcoming show pinned to the homepage, featured in push notifications, or dropped into the discovery carousel. Straight ad revenue with zero inventory risk.
  4. Seller subscription tiers. Pro seller plans: lower commission, higher withdrawal limits, early access to new features, priority support. Monthly recurring revenue that stacks.
  5. Buyer Prime-style subscription. Free shipping on your store credits, early access to drops, exclusive VIP-only livestreams, auto-bidding privileges. Fans of a creator will pay for this, and they’ll renew.
  6. Shipping markup. You buy labels wholesale through Shippo / EasyPost / Shiprocket at rate X, bill the buyer at rate Y, pocket the margin. Legal, standard, and most buyers never notice.
  7. Brand & sponsor ads. Sponsored posts in the feed, pre-roll on live shows (optional), sponsored categories. Self-serve portal built in with geo + interest targeting.
  8. Withdrawal / payout fees. When sellers cash out, a small fixed fee or percentage. Most live-shopping platforms do this, most sellers shrug at it. Add up across thousands of payouts.
  9. White-label sub-licensing. Multi-tenant mode lets you license your platform to retail chains, publishers, or regional operators as isolated sub-sites. Recurring SaaS revenue without touching the code again.

At a modest run rate — 2,000 active sellers doing $800 GMV a week at 8% commission, a Stripe fee markup, and 200 Prime subscribers at $7.99 — you’re looking at roughly $70k monthly revenue before any ads. Do the math on your own numbers, but the unit economics here aren’t hypothetical.

What’s Inside the White Label eCommerce Marketplace

1. Native iOS + Android Apps and a Full Web App

React Native on mobile, Next.js on web, one Node.js API serving all of them. Not a web view. Not a PWA in a trench coat. Real apps that launch on the App Store and Play Store under your brand, with push notifications, background video, in-app purchases, and the performance your sellers actually want.

2. Live Streaming Built for Auctions

This is the feature most clones get wrong. We use a swappable media-server layer (Agora, Ant Media, Mux, or self-hosted SRS if you want to control costs at scale) with sub-400ms latency optimized for the bid-to-close window. Split-screen seller views. Co-host up to four people. Auto-VOD recording so buyers who missed the live can still buy.

3. Real-Time Auction Engine

Timed auctions with anti-snipe extensions (bid in the last 10 seconds, timer resets — keeps the energy up). Buy-now price alongside reserve price. Proxy bidding so buyers don’t have to sit glued to their phone. Auction history, bid receipts, and a ledger audit trail that holds up under dispute.

4. Seller Onboarding, KYC & Payouts

Stripe Connect out of the box — seller signs up, completes KYC, gets a connected account, starts selling. Payouts route straight to their bank without funds ever sitting in your custody (major compliance headache avoided). Alternative: a custom-held escrow model if your jurisdiction prefers it.

5. Cart, Checkout & Multi-Item Orders

Buyers can win three auctions from the same seller in one show and check out once. Combined shipping is calculated automatically. Saved addresses, saved cards, guest checkout, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and every major regional gateway. The checkout is where most clones leak conversion — ours doesn’t.

6. Shipping Labels, Tracking & Returns

Seller hits “Ship” — we generate the label via Shippo / EasyPost / Shiprocket / your configured carrier, bill the buyer, attach tracking. Delivery webhooks update the order status. Return requests flow through the dispute console with admin arbitration. The part nobody wants to build, done.

7. Ratings, Reviews & Buyer Protection

Seller ratings that actually mean something — not a “6 stars if you enjoyed it” theater. Post-delivery reviews, photo evidence on claims, a buyer-protection window with refund authority in the admin, and the dispute tooling to keep your team sane.

8. Chat, DMs & Live Chat During Shows

Real-time chat during livestreams with moderator tools (mute, timeout, shadow-ban), emoji reactions, pinned messages, and a gift-tipping layer if you want to add that. Private DMs between buyers and sellers with image sharing and voice notes.

9. Discovery — Categories, Collections, Sounds

Category trees you define. Collections and tag pages for SEO (our Next.js web storefront is built for Google to index — this is how you earn free traffic instead of renting it from Meta). Curated shows carousel on the home screen, editorially picked or algo-picked.

10. Scheduled Shows & Reminders

Sellers schedule their upcoming shows a week out. Buyers tap “Remind me” — they get a push 10 minutes before go-live. This single feature drives 40% of our test-market DAU back into the app daily. It’s the quiet weapon.

11. Advertiser & Sponsorship Portal

Self-serve for brands and sellers: upload creative, target geo + interest + category, pick CPM or CPC, fund with card. Admin approves, sets floor prices, skims the platform cut. Sponsored hashtag challenges and featured-show placements use the same rail.

12. Moderation & Trust Console

AI first-pass moderation (nudity, counterfeit keywords, hate speech, weapons), human review queues, user reports with appeals, shadow-ban, device / IP / account bans, verified-seller badges, and an audit log you can actually show to a regulator without cringing.

13. Super-Admin Panel

Users, sellers, shows (live + scheduled + VOD), orders, payments, payouts, KYC queue, ads, disputes, categories, feature flags, push broadcaster, analytics (GMV, take rate, DAU/MAU, cohort retention, seller revenue concentration), system health, role-based access. The whole control tower in one place.

14. Notifications & Re-Engagement

FCM + APNs native push, SMTP email, Twilio SMS, in-app notification center, user-preference matrix, scheduled broadcasts, and smart re-engagement triggers (show starting, outbid, delivered, favorite seller went live, cart abandoned). The difference between a marketplace with a pulse and one that dies after launch week.

15. Multi-Language, Multi-Currency, Multi-Region

20+ languages seeded with RTL support (Arabic, Hebrew, Urdu), regional currency, per-country tax rules, geo-fenced livestreams where needed for content compliance, and CDN-level routing. One codebase, your global market.

16. Compliance — GDPR, CCPA, DPDP, PCI

Age gate, consent capture, per-user data export and delete-me, seller KYC with document verification, audit logs, DMCA takedowns, PCI-compliant payments via Stripe / Razorpay / Paystack (no raw card storage in your stack), and the required cooling-off / return windows for EU and UK consumers. Ship-safe in the major jurisdictions.

17. APIs, Webhooks & Integrations

Clean REST + WebSocket APIs, OAuth2 + JWT, OpenAPI spec, webhooks for every order / payment / shipment / dispute event. Adapters seeded for Shopify, WooCommerce, Zoho CRM, HubSpot, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, and Segment. Plug into your back office the day after launch.

The Tech Stack — What We Actually Use

  • Mobile: React Native for iOS + Android, native video player with HLS adaptive bitrate
  • Web: Next.js + React + Tailwind, SSR + ISR for Google-indexable storefront pages
  • API: Node.js (Nest / Express), REST + WebSocket, BullMQ for background jobs
  • Data: PostgreSQL primary + MongoDB for chat / feed + Redis for real-time auction state
  • Media: FFmpeg for transcoding, HLS packaging, S3-compatible storage, CloudFront / Cloudflare
  • Live: Agora / Ant Media / Mux / self-hosted SRS adapter — your call
  • Search: Elasticsearch / OpenSearch for listings, sellers, sounds, hashtags
  • Payments: Stripe Connect, PayPal, Razorpay, Paystack, Flutterwave, bKash, JazzCash, Apple IAP, Google Play
  • Infra: Docker Compose for dev, Helm charts for Kubernetes, Terraform for AWS / GCP / DigitalOcean / Hetzner

Why Buy From Sell My Code Instead of the Other Clones on the Internet

Fair question. Here’s the straight answer from our side:

  • One flat price — $11,500. No revenue share, no per-user fees, no “contact us for enterprise.” The price on this page is the price.
  • Source code is 100% unencrypted. Mobile, web, admin, API, database schema, docs. You can read every line. You can change every line. You can fire us tomorrow and keep running.
  • Deployment is included. We install it on your server, rebrand it, submit the apps to the stores under your identity, and hand you working credentials. Not “here’s a zip, good luck.”
  • Six months of free support. Bug fixes, updates, and a real human answering your Slack. Most clone shops vanish the day your invoice clears.
  • This is the same codebase we run for private-label live-commerce operators right now. It’s been stress-tested in production, not in a demo sandbox.
  • Under three weeks to launch. Compare that to the 12-month custom build your CTO is quoting, and the math tells itself.

Email us, book a live demo, or just hit the buy button if you’ve seen enough. Either way, the Whatnot clone you’ve been looking for isn’t vaporware — it’s sitting in our repo, waiting for your logo.

What you get

Feature Highlights

01

Native iOS + Android + Web Storefront

Proper React Native apps for iOS and Android that share a single Node.js API with a Next.js web storefront. Not a webview, not a PWA hiding inside a shell. Real apps, on the App Store and Play Store, under your brand. Push notifications, background video, in-app purchases — the lot.

02

Live Streaming Tuned for Auctions

Sub-400ms latency so the bid-to-close window feels alive, not laggy. Split-screen seller views, co-hosting up to four, automatic VOD recording, and a swappable media-server adapter — Agora out of the box, Ant Media or self-hosted SRS if you want to control cost at scale. Most clones get this one wrong. We did not.

03

Real-Time Auction Engine

Timed auctions with anti-snipe timer extensions (bid in the last ten seconds, timer resets — keeps the energy up), reserve prices, buy-now alongside the auction, proxy bidding for buyers who can't watch live, and a full bid ledger with audit trail. The sort of engine that holds up when two whales go to war over a holo Charizard.

04

Stripe Connect Seller Payouts

Sellers sign up, complete KYC, land a connected Stripe account, and start selling. Payouts route straight to their bank — funds never sit in your custody, which saves you a compliance nightmare in most jurisdictions. If your region needs an escrow model instead, we have that mode too.

05

Cart, Checkout & Combined Shipping

Buyers can win three auctions from one seller during a single show and check out once, with combined shipping auto-calculated. Saved addresses, saved cards, guest checkout, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and every major regional gateway. The checkout is where most clones bleed conversion — this one does not.

06

Shipping Labels, Tracking & Returns

Seller hits Ship. We print a label via Shippo / EasyPost / Shiprocket, bill the buyer the right amount, and attach tracking. Carrier webhooks update order status automatically. Returns flow into a dispute console with admin arbitration. The unglamorous part of a marketplace — done properly.

07

Nine Built-In Monetization Streams

Seller commission per sale, buyer payment-processing fee, livestream boost and featured placement, seller subscription tiers, buyer Prime-style subscription, shipping-label markup, brand and sponsor ads, withdrawal fees, and multi-tenant white-label sub-licensing. All wired into the admin, all configurable, all live from day one.

08

Ratings, Reviews & Buyer Protection

Ratings that actually mean something. Post-delivery reviews, photo evidence on claims, a buyer-protection window with refund authority in the admin, and a dispute console that keeps your support team from drowning. This is what makes buyers come back for the second auction.

09

Scheduled Shows + Push Reminders

Sellers schedule shows a week out, buyers tap "Remind me," and ten minutes before go-live they get a push. This one feature drove 40% of DAU back into the app in our test deployments. The quiet, unsexy weapon most clones forget to ship.

10

Discovery + SEO-Indexable Storefronts

Category trees you define, collection and tag pages the Next.js storefront renders server-side for Google to index, curated show carousels, and a search that actually finds things. This is how you earn free organic traffic instead of renting every visit from Meta ads.

11

Moderation & Trust Console

AI first-pass moderation for nudity, counterfeit keywords, hate speech, and prohibited goods. Human review queues, user reports with appeals, shadow-ban, device / IP / account bans, verified-seller badges, and an audit log you can show a regulator without cringing. Built-in, not a bolt-on.

12

Super-Admin Panel

One control tower for users, sellers, shows (live + scheduled + VOD), orders, payments, payouts, KYC queue, ads, disputes, categories, feature flags, push broadcaster, and analytics — GMV, take rate, DAU/MAU, cohort retention, seller revenue concentration. Role-based access control so your ops team sees only what they should.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is the Whatnot clone / white label eCommerce marketplace?

A production-ready, rebrandable live-shopping and auction marketplace modeled on Whatnot, Poshmark Live, TikTok Shop, and NTWRK. You get native iOS + Android apps, a Next.js web storefront, a real-time auction engine, Stripe Connect seller payouts, multi-carrier shipping, dispute and buyer-protection tooling, a full super-admin panel, and nine wired-up monetization streams. Full source code, deployment included, $11,500 one-time — and you are live under your own brand in under three weeks.

Is this a real live-streaming platform or a fake demo?

Real. Sub-400ms latency, swappable media-server adapter (Agora, Ant Media, Mux, self-hosted SRS), split-screen seller views, co-hosting up to four participants, automatic VOD recording. We picked the adapter model specifically so you can start on Agora for ease, then move to self-hosted SRS when your bill gets uncomfortable at scale. Most clone shops stub this out. We didn't.

How do admins actually make money with the Whatnot Clone App?

Nine revenue streams built in: seller commission on every sale, buyer payment-processing fee, paid livestream boost / featured placement, seller subscription tiers, buyer Prime-style subscription, shipping-label markup, brand and sponsor ads through a self-serve portal, withdrawal fees, and multi-tenant white-label sub-licensing. You set the rates in the admin and the platform does the rest — billing, ledger, payouts.

What about seller KYC and payouts? Do I have to hold buyer funds?

No — and you probably don't want to. Default flow is Stripe Connect: seller signs up, clears KYC, gets a connected account, and payouts go straight to their bank without touching your balance sheet. That one architectural choice avoids a stack of money-transmission licensing headaches in most jurisdictions. If your region needs a custodial escrow model instead, that mode is in the codebase too.

Which payment gateways and shipping carriers are supported?

Payments: Stripe Connect (primary), PayPal, Razorpay, Paystack, Flutterwave, bKash, JazzCash, Apple IAP, Google Play Billing. Shipping: Shippo, EasyPost, Shiprocket, and a generic carrier adapter for regional providers. Adding a new gateway or carrier is usually a 1–2 day engineering task because the adapter layer is clean.

Is the auction engine actually fair? What happens if two bids arrive at the same moment?

Bids are serialised server-side through a Redis-backed ordered stream, timestamped to the millisecond, and written to an append-only ledger. Ties are broken by server-receive order, and the last-10-seconds anti-snipe timer keeps the auction open long enough that network latency isn't what decides the winner. The full bid history is visible in the admin and exportable for dispute review.
