This Privacy Policy explains how Sell My Code (the “Platform”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, protects, and shares information when you use sellmycode.co — whether you browse the marketplace, buy source code or ready-made apps, or list products as a publisher. 1. Who we are

Sell My Code is an online marketplace where developers and publishers list codebases and ready-made applications for sale, and buyers purchase or enquire about them. For any privacy question, contact us at sales@sellmycode.co.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the marketplace:

• Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored hashed) when you register as a buyer or publisher. If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google profile (name, email, profile picture).
• Transaction information — the products you buy or enquire about, your order and token history, and invoices.
• Payment details — where you provide them, they are encrypted at rest and used solely to process your order. We do not store full card numbers in plain text.
• Communications — messages, enquiries, and support requests you send through the Platform or by email.
• Publisher & listing data — for publishers, the listings, descriptions, media, and payout details you submit.
• Usage data — pages and listings viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and similar information, collected first-party to operate and improve the site.

3. How we use your information

• Create and manage your account and keep you signed in.
• Process purchases, tokens, enquiries, and publisher payouts.
• Send transactional email — order confirmations, enquiry replies, and account notices.
• Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
• Operate, secure, and improve the Platform, and prevent fraud and abuse.
• Meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. How we share information

We share personal data only with the parties needed to deliver the service:

• Payment providers — to process the transactions you initiate.
• Email delivery — our transactional email is sent through a Gmail-based service so account and order emails reach you.
• Google Sign-In — if you choose to log in with Google, authentication is handled by Google under its own policy.
• Buyers & publishers — when you make an enquiry or a purchase, the relevant counterpart receives the information needed to respond or complete the deal.
• Legal & safety — where required by law, or to protect our rights, our users, and the Platform.

5. Data security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data: passwords are stored hashed, sensitive payment details are encrypted at rest, and access is limited to authorised staff. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to address any incident promptly.

6. Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed to provide the service, keep records of transactions, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise a right, email sales@sellmycode.co from the address on your account. You can also update most account details from your dashboard.

9. Children

The Platform is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
