Panda Resort: PHP Hotel Booking System & Resort Website Script with CMS

Independent hotels, resorts, villas and guest houses pay OTAs such as Booking.com and Airbnb a commission on every reservation. Direct bookings often still run on email, phone calls and a spreadsheet, so rates drift, rooms get double-booked and deposits are chased by hand. Hosted booking engines help, but add another monthly fee.

Panda Resort is a self-hosted PHP hotel booking system with a built-in CMS for a single property. Guests search dates and party size on the property's own website, compare rooms and rate offers, add services or activities, and pay a deposit or the full amount by card (Stripe), PayPal, bank transfer, check or at the hotel. Staff run the property from an administration panel with a visual planning calendar, seasonal and weekday rates, stay rules, taxes and fees, promo codes and iCal sync with Airbnb, Booking.com and other compatible platforms. The seller states that Panda Resort charges no booking commission.

How it works

1. Upload the files to your hosting account and run the installation wizard.
2. Add the property, room types, photos, rates, seasons and booking conditions, then set up payment methods and iCal connections.
3. Guests enter their dates and party size, compare rooms and offers, and add services or activities.
4. The system calculates the total with taxes and fees and applies your payment rules (full payment, deposit or pay at the hotel).
5. Reservations are confirmed instantly or held for your approval, and guests receive booking emails.

Ways to monetize

For a property, the value is lower OTA commission on direct bookings, deposits collected upfront and upsells such as breakfast offers, services and activities. An agency could offer installation, branding and hosting to hotels as a service, subject to the licence terms confirmed with the seller (see Good to know).

Good to know

• Single property. The seller describes it as a system for a single hotel, resort, villa or guest house, not a multi-property marketplace like Booking.com.
• iCal, not a full channel manager. Availability is exchanged through iCal feeds. iCal syncs blocked dates, not rates or content, and OTAs refresh feeds periodically, so short-notice double bookings remain possible. Confirm the sync interval with the seller.
• Licence and origin. The product is built on Pandao CMS. Confirm with the seller that they own the code or hold resale rights, and what licence (single site or unlimited) the buyer receives.
• Your own accounts. You need your own hosting, Stripe and PayPal accounts. Card payments run on Stripe's hosted page.
• Demo content. The screenshots use sample data (a Santorini boutique hotel and placeholder guests and phone numbers). No live demo, video, revenue or customer figures are provided.
• Maintenance. No maintenance price is listed beyond 30 days of support. Ask about updates and PHP version compatibility.
